How can PlayMOps be a sole proprietorship and still refer to itself as us?
Because PlayMOps is much more than just one person.
It's the sum of 20+ years of experience, a broad international network, and every project, challenge and solution along the way, and just as importantly, all the people I collaborate with and learn from every single day.
Odd Morten Sørensen
Hi, my name is Odd Morten Sørensen. and I'm a Marketing Technologist with over 20 years of hands-on experience at the intersection of digital marketing, data and technology.
I help mid-sized to large organisations make sense of their marketing technology, build the operational foundation they need to grow, and ensure that investments in new tools actually deliver measurable value.
Most marketing technology transformations fail. Not because of the tools, but because strategy, processes and organisational readiness weren't in place first.
That's the gap I fill.

Founded PlayMOps as a hub for Marketing Operations consulting, fractional marketing management, and knowledge sharing within Marketing Automation, Marketing Operations and Martech. Working with clients ranging from growth-stage companies to established organisations navigating complex martech transformations.
Co-Lead, European Chapter – MarketingOps.com
Since 2025, co-leading the European chapter of the global MarketingOps.com community, hosting monthly events for Marketing Ops professionals across Europe.
NTE Marked – Martech Stack Transformation
Led the evaluation, selection and full implementation of a modern martech stack including Segment (CDP), Braze and Mixpanel. Responsible for marketing automation, marketing analytics dashboards, data collection, campaign and web tracking, and insights across all marketing activities in one of Norway's leading energy companies.
BN Bank ASA – Marketing Analytics & Insights
Headed marketing analytics and insights, managing Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Optimize, and data visualisation in Google Data Studio and Power BI, while supporting business development and CRM projects. This also included building analytics tracking from scratch inside their online banking platform via Google Tag Manager, something they had no visibility into before. I built it also to be fully anonymised to meet strict privacy and compliance requirements.
Boostcom AS (Placewise) – Product & Martech Leadership
Served as product owner and marketing technical lead, responsible for product vision and development of an in-house Data Management Platform, as well as technical operation of ads and tracking solutions for networks, websites and apps.
Agency & independent work
Built and ran my own agency, producing digital campaigns and content for clients. Managed CRM, web and IT projects including newsletter setup, analysis, mobile campaigns and content production.
International Martech Community
Participated in mapping Nordic and European Martech vendors with Martechtribe.com and Chiefmartec.com. Served as international ambassador for TMW100, the global ranking of the most innovative Martech solutions.

What makes me different
Most consultants either bring strategy without execution, or execution without strategic understanding.
I bring both.
With a background spanning product development, data architecture, marketing automation and campaign management, I can see the full picture and help you build solutions that actually work in practice, not just on paper.
I've worked inside large Norwegian organisations. I know the internal dynamics, the silo challenges, and the gap that often exists between what IT implements and what marketing actually needs. That perspective is hard to find in a consultant, and it's where I consistently add the most value.
I'm also genuinely curious and fast to learn. The martech landscape changes constantly, and I stay ahead of it through a broad international network in Marketing Operations and Martech that I actively use, not just for inspiration, but to bring the best thinking directly to my clients.
