Who is PlayMOps?

How can PlayMOps be a sole proprietorship and still refer to itself as us?


Because PlayMOps is much more than just one person. PlayMOps is the sum of my experience, my network, and all the projects I’ve been a part of, and just as importantly, all the people I collaborate with and learn from every single day.

Odd Morten Sørensen


Hi, my name is Odd Morten Sørensen, and I am passionate about building, improving, and optimizing everything related to digital marketing, data, and technology.


For over 20 years, I have worked across marketing, analytics, project management, and product development. I’ve had the privilege of working with some really exciting companies and projects over the years.

Here’s a glimpse of what I’ve done along the way:


  • Built PlayMOps as a hub for my Marketing- and MOps-for-hire services and knowledge sharing about Marketing Automation, Marketing Operations, and Martech.


  • Led the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new Martech tools (Segment, Braze, Mixpanel) at NTE Marked. I was responsible for running the marketing automation platform and managing the marketing analytics dashboards, data collection, campaign and web tracking, and insights across all marketing activities.


  • Headed the marketing analytics and insights at BN Bank ASA, managing Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Optimize, and visualization in Google Datastudio and PowerBI, while supporting business development and CRM projects.


  • Served as product owner and marketing technical lead at Boostcom AS (Placewise), where I was responsible for everything from product vision and the development of an in-house Data Management Platform to the technical operation of ads and tracking solutions for networks, websites, and apps.


  • Built and ran my own agency, producing digital campaigns, flash banners, radio commercials, and voiceovers for clients.


  • Project managed CRM, web, and IT projects, including newsletter setup and analysis, mobile campaigns, and content production.


  • Participated in mapping Nordic and European Martech vendors with Martechtribe.com and Chiefmartec.com, and served as an international ambassador for TMW100, the global ranking of the most innovative Martech solutions.


  • Speaker at conferences such as Dialogkonferansen (2023) in Strømstad, Rise Up (2023) in Dubai, Make Data Smart (2023) in Trondheim and the Email Marketing Automation Summit (2024) in Amsterdam.


  • Since 2017 built a broad international network within Martech, Marketing Operations and Marketing Automation, which I actively use to stay updated and gather new inspiration.


  • Since 2025 been co-leading the European chapter of the Marketingops.com Community, hosting monthly online events for the European Marketing Ops professionals.



Through this journey, I’ve gained unique and varied experience, from hands-on data capture and analysis to creating and running robust campaign workflows, driving product development, and building new services.


I’ve always been curious, eager to learn, and focused on staying ahead of the curve, and it’s this drive that enables PlayMOps to offer both breadth and specialized expertise.

I bring structure, curiosity, and follow-through to every project.


I'm a true fast learner who always stay updated on new trends and tools, and have a broad international network in Marketing Operations and Martech that I actively use for inspiration and sharing experiences.


With a solid background in both operational and strategic roles, I’ve developed a unique ability to see connections and find the best solutions, regardless of project size.


It’s this combination of curiosity, structure, and execution that allows me to help lift both projects and teams to the next level.
